Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SIMADDA (SimAdda.com), India's premium gaming marketplace, collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data in connection with our digital marketplace and Gaming Assistance services, in line with applicable Indian law including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Effective: January 2025 Last updated: July 2026

01. Personal Data We Collect

As a Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act, SIMADDA may process the following personal data when you use SimAdda.com:

  • Identity & account data: Name, email address, username, and profile preferences.
  • Contact & fulfilment data: Phone number, location/state, and communication preferences where provided.
  • Transaction data: Order history, UPI/payment references, invoices, Gaming Assistance periods, and support tickets.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, cookies, and security logs needed to operate and protect the platform.
  • Vendor data: Business/store details, payout information, and verification documents submitted by vendors.

02. How We Use Personal Data

We process personal data only for specified purposes connected to operating SIMADDA:

  • Creating and securing accounts; authenticating users and administrators
  • Processing purchases, Gaming Assistance bookings, refunds, and vendor payouts
  • Delivering digital downloads, Assistance Days timers, and service notifications (including email)
  • Providing customer support and resolving disputes
  • Preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access
  • Complying with applicable Indian legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
  • Improving platform reliability and user experience through aggregated analytics
We do not sell personal data to advertising brokers or marketing agencies. Marketing communications (if any) are sent only where permitted under Indian law and can be withdrawn through account preferences or by contacting support.

03. Lawful Basis & Consent (India)

Processing is carried out in accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (including the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, to the extent applicable). Depending on the activity, processing may rely on:

  • Consent: Account registration, optional marketing preferences, and certain cookies/analytics where consent is required.
  • Legitimate use for employment / service contracts: Fulfilling marketplace transactions, Gaming Assistance delivery, support, and vendor agreements.
  • Legal obligation: Tax, accounting, dispute resolution, and responses to lawful government requests.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent for future processing by updating preferences or contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed lawfully, or processing required to complete an open order, Assistance period, refund, or legal obligation.

04. Disclosure & Data Sharing

We share personal data only when necessary and with appropriate safeguards:

  • Payment / banking partners for UPI and settlement verification
  • Security and infrastructure providers who process data as Data Processors under contractual confidentiality obligations
  • Vendors — only the order and fulfilment information needed to deliver their products or related support, including read-only Assistance Days timing for titles assigned to them
  • Competent authorities when required by Indian law or a valid legal process

SIMADDA remains responsible for personal data processed for marketplace operations. Processors are instructed to use data only for contracted purposes.

05. Cookies & Similar Technologies

SIMADDA uses cookies and similar technologies to provide and improve our services:

  • Essential cookies: Login sessions, cart, checkout, and security
  • Performance cookies: Aggregated analytics to understand platform usage
  • Authentication cookies: Secure session tokens to keep you signed in

You may control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent login, cart, or checkout from working correctly.

06. Your Rights Under Indian Law

Subject to the DPDP Act and applicable exceptions, you may request:

  • Access / summary: Information about personal data we process about you
  • Correction & completion: Update inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of personal data when it is no longer needed for the stated purpose, subject to legal retention (orders, tax, fraud prevention)
  • Withdrawal of consent: For consent-based processing going forward
  • Grievance redressal: Raise a privacy complaint with our Grievance Officer (details below)

Requests can be submitted via the Support page or emailed to support@simadda.com. We aim to respond within timelines prescribed under applicable Indian law (generally within a reasonable period and, where specified, within statutory windows).

Important: Certain records (for example completed orders, payment proofs, and Assistance history tied to tax or dispute resolution) may be retained even after an erasure request where Indian law requires or permits retention.

07. Security Safeguards

We implement reasonable security practices and procedures appropriate to the nature of data we process, including:

  • Encrypted password storage and secure session authentication
  • HTTPS-protected transmission of data where the site is served over TLS
  • Access controls for administrators and audit logging of sensitive actions
  • Operational monitoring to detect abuse and unauthorised access

No method of transmission or storage is completely risk-free. Users must keep credentials confidential and enable available security features. SIMADDA’s liability for unauthorised access arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control is limited as set out in our Terms of Service and applicable Indian law.

08. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes stated in this policy or as required by law:

  • Account data: While the account remains active, and for a limited period after closure for security and dispute handling
  • Order & payment records: Retained for tax, accounting, and consumer dispute periods under Indian law (commonly up to 7–8 years where applicable)
  • Gaming Assistance records: Retained for the Assistance period and a reasonable period thereafter for support and audit
  • Support correspondence: Typically retained for up to 2 years unless a longer period is needed for an open dispute
  • Security / session logs: Short retention appropriate to fraud prevention (typically up to 30–90 days unless investigating an incident)

After the applicable retention period, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised from active systems, subject to backup and legal hold constraints.

09. Children

SIMADDA is intended for users who can form a valid contract under Indian law. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children below the age of majority without verifiable parental/guardian consent where required by the DPDP Act. If you believe a child’s data was submitted without required consent, contact us for prompt review and deletion where legally permitted.
